Piano, Trumpet, Clarinet & Tenor Saxophone Teacher

She attended UW-Whitewater, Wi studying Instrumental Music Education.
She's been teaching lesss for 3 years. She specializes in piano, trumpet, clarinet and tenor saxophone. She has been a member of several performing groups. She was the Sectional
Leader, and Chamber Instructor at Band Camp in Whitewater for 1 year. She was the Summer School Instructor for a local school in Beginning Band Class for 2 years.

 

Brian Koenig

Guitar Teacher

Currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Brian Koenig is pursuing a degree in music theory and history. Brian brings two diverse styles of music to his teaching-classical and rock. He has studied the oboe for ten years and the guitar for over five years. Brian’s forte on the guitar is rock &roll and heavy metal, but he also teaches jazz, classical finger style, and country.

Brian Koenig is a part-time teacher for Studio B in Monroe. He has played the guitar for 5 ½ years and has been giving lessons both formally and informally for the past two years. He has also played the oboe for 10 years. He is currently studying oboe on the university level at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is pursuing a degree in music theory and history.

Koenig's forte on the guitar is rock and roll or heavy metal music in the style of Eddie Van Halen or Steve Vai. He also dabbles in jazz, classical finger style and country styles. His  experience is unique in the training he‘s had between two styles of music, classical and rock, that are usually on opposite ends of the musical spectrum. A hybrid of these styles results in the power and intensity of rock combined with the technical discipline and theoretical background of classical.

Kathy Olmstead

Sax, Clarinet, Woodwind and Flute Teacher

Kathy Olmstead specializes in clarinet and saxophone and also plays recorder. She attended UW Platteville, and holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and has 3 years public school teaching experience. She is a 10 year member of the Monroe City Band and has been a member for the pit orchestra for 4  Monroe Theatre Guilds production. Woodwind trio performed at the MAAC Christmas Sampler and the MAAC showcase of talent. She currently teaches at a local school in Wisconsin.
She is active in the Monroe City band and the Monroe Theatre Guild Pit Orchestra.
Olmstead studied music at Mt. Senario College in Ladysmith. She also studied at University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
She is a teacher at the New Glarus Christian School. She resides in Argyle with her husband Tim.

Galina Bauer

Voice & Violin Teacher

Galina Bauer has a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Opera Performance. She is a Prizewinner in International Competition for Opera Singers. She has professional experience of teaching and performance in theatre. She has a record of highly successful public performance (Soloist-Singer in Dramatic Soprano parts, Violinist in Orchestra), while participating in many tours with the Moldavian National Opera in Eastern and Western Europe. Video and audio tapes were included in "Gold Fund" of the Moldavian Radio and TV network.

Patty James

Violin Teacher

She has studied violin for over 30 years. She has played in numerous community musicals in Monroe and Baraboo, Wisconsin - such as Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music, Camlot, Oklahoma, Show Boat and Carousel. She has also played with the Baraboo Community Orchestra, the UW Madison Orchestra, and the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra in Chicago.

 

Taneal  Simonet

Piano, Clarinet and Voice Teacher

Taneal Simonet attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She has a Bachelors Degree in Music Education; General Music Pre-kindergarten-12th grade. She was a Clarinet Instructor at Point Music Camp and New London Music Camp. She was the clarinet coach at Stevens Point University. She was a private instructor at Stevens Point Conservatory for Creative Expression-Voice, Piano and Clarinet. She was the Children's Choir Director for a Presbyterian Church. She is a General Music Teacher for a local school in Monroe. She also belongs to the Wisconsin Education Association. Delta Omicron Professional Music Fraternity and the Music Educators National Conference.
